Since 2013, Ten Brinke has been developing and building on a huge project in Mainz. The 30 hectare ground was used by IBM and left with old fabric halls. After ongoing a long term development and construction phase by the Ten Brinke Group, the result is a new, sophisticated, attractive and multifunctional mixed-use urban quarter with different types of housing possibilities, approx. 2.000-2.500 apartments, a local shopping center, two daycare centers and other commercial space. The quarter is been complemented by a particularly noteworthy greening concept with various green spaces and playgrounds. Ten Brinke is also building a new headquarters on the site for the German pharmaceutical company BioNTech SE, which recently received international attention for its development of a vaccine against COVID-19.
